Independent energy and transport supply to islands with autonomous sailing ships.
Anestis Kalfas is an Associate Professor in Turbomachinery. He belongs to the teaching staff of the Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachinery of the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, but is now guest professor at Framtidens Energi vid MDH. In this presentation he is showing how sailing ships could harvest solar power and transport sored energy in batteries as well as other goods to islands in the Greek Archipelago, but could principally be used anywhere. Will be in English.
Flow Ocean – flytande vindkraft, ett nytt concept för flytande vindkraft som blir billigare än att bygga fasta installationer off-shore, och dessutom ger en möjlighet att flytta kraftverket.
